Ceilidh and Light Supper
As can be seen from these photographs, the Ceilidh was greatly enjoyed by those who attended.
The Scottish Country Dancing Association’s Demonstration Team were very pleased at the level of participation in the dances and they will be happy to be invited back to Groomsport again.

The Digital Archive
The Ceilidh was one of the activities connected to the building of the Digital Archive of Groomsport, supported by the Coop Community Fund. The digital archive is on our website at:
https://discovergroomsport.com/digital-archive/
Those attending were encouraged to bring items to be scanned for the digital archive. We scanned an additional 30 items which will be processed for the archive. These included items about Groomsport during World War 2.

Rory also scanned a number of photos of Andrews’ Shorefield and we will be able to dedicate a section of the archive to this unique place in the village. The following is a photograph of a lovely painting of 18 Andrews’ Shorefield, before it was replaced with by a more modern house.
